  • Is the platform only for Canadian teachers?

No way! CoLab is made by a Canadian teacher and development team 🇨🇦 but we are open to teachers everywhere. We know curriculum is regional but learning experiences, resources and support transcend borders.

  • Do the resources I share have to be created by me?

No, although you are welcome and encouraged to share your own. You have the ability to share resources like tech tools you've used, blogs you've read, groups you've joined as well as more traditional resources like lessons, units, activities, assessments, etc. It is important that all content is attributed to the original creator and only shared if you have the right to do so.

  • How can I make the most of CoLab if I can't share my lessons outside my school?

We know that some teaching contracts have a clause that resources you create under contract are property of the school. In talking with many administrators at public and private schools in Canada, most encourage resource sharing for professional development and support. We suggest asking your admin for clarification on this!

One way is for teachers from different schools to co-create learning experiences and document them in public using our iteration feature.
