Expert judges ranked our pitch and here’s what they had to say…
Thrilled to share my recent experience pitching CoLab Education at the X-1 Accelerator practice event through the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship 🚀
We presented our teacher collaboration platform to an impressive panel of judges. A HUGE thank you to Anne-Valerie Guidollet (VP Canada, CMO Global, Nespresso), Paul Kruszewski (Serial AI Entrepreneur, Anges Québec Member) and Gary Berdowski, CFA, MBA Berdowski (VC investor, climate tech) for your time, insight and specific, actionable feedback!
I am so proud to announce that I scored an impressive 4.3/5 overall!! 🎉 and kept it within the time constraints which has been a struggle (start-up founders, if you know you know)
The feedback was invaluable, pushing us to sharpen our pitch on long-term sustainability, marketing strategy, and risk assessment/mitigation.
We're implementing some key improvements in emphasizing the value of our data and localization strategy, clarifying our AI implementation and its benefits, and refining our go-to-market approach with potential edtech partnerships.
Speaking of GTM, we've been hard at work refining our strategy:
🚀 Launching a two-sided product- a free community for teachers that offers accessible, high-quality resources and support, as well as enterprise subscriptions for private and custom collaboration
🚀 Building an active community of teachers willing to support one another
🚀 Nailing our pilot programs in the fall, showcasing clear KPIs on teacher engagement and retention
This experience has energized our team and sharpened our vision. We're more committed than ever to revolutionizing teacher collaboration and making a lasting impact in education.
Onwards and upwards! 📚✨
